March 2016 – QUIT DAILY
https://quitdaily.com/2016/03
Day 205, Looking Back. March 22, 2016. It’s important to take advantage of the “good” moments to set things up to make it easier to get through the “bad” moments. So today – or the next time you’re feeling great and strong in your recovery, take out your phone and do a google search for something that makes you happy. It could […]. March 18, 2016. Day 139 – QUIT DAILY
https://quitdaily.com/2017/01/01/day-139
Day 205, Looking Back. January 1, 2017. I’m still here. I’m still sober. Last week I graduated from my IOP/SOP program. Of all the people that came into my process group while I was there, only 1 other person ever finished, and that was a few weeks after I started. At the coin out ceremony at the end, where each person says something about you and sends you off with a word, no one would be there that even really knew me. That shut me down, because I didn’t want to cry in front of these people. I’ve...

Day 205, Looking Back. December 5, 2015. Well, it’s been 3 months and 2 vacations since my last post. I have also – spoiler alert – had 3 lapses since my last post. I’ve worked hard to examine these failures, or stumbles, or whatever you want to call them, and to use them to strengthen my recovery and teach me about myself. […]. Day 60 – QUIT DAILY
https://quitdaily.com/2016/10/15/day-60/comment-page-1
Day 205, Looking Back. October 15, 2016. Honestly, I was getting close to ‘fuck it’ today. I just felt sick of all this recovery stuff. At a meeting last night I was so irritated by all the Recovery Words everyone has to insert into every thought. The thought of the recovery podcasts I used to enjoy is just like, ugh. Do I seriously have to think and talk about this all. the. time? It and why I deserve it and why the fuck not anyway. 4 days a week for the first month, and 6 days a week for the past month!
September 2015 – QUIT DAILY

Day 205, Looking Back. September 2, 2015. September 2, 2015. A few days ago, I reviewed and recommended Better than Before by Gretchen Rubin. I mentioned in that post how easy quitting alcohol and weed has been for me this time around. And I really meant it, I have marveled often at how painless it has been, how little angst I have suffered, and how […]. September 1, 2015. September 1, 2015. Thinking – still, sort of. September 1, 2016. Well, lots of thinking and pondering was done. And sometimes none. As in, have a bottle of wine to block those brain cells. Pulling out of the drive and getting back on the road. OMG why am i so full of shiit. I’ve done it before and know it’s not the end of the world but a new beginning…. So, anyway, today i bought the Jason Vale book, recommended by soo many. So today, i have an excuse not to stop. 🙄😈How full of shit is that? Happy thursday, peeps. Daisy,...

21 days – still here. July 11, 2016. I’m still here. on day 22. still haven’t had a drink. We BBQ’d yesterday and i was prepping food for tonight that called for red wine – and i suddenly had a fleeting moment of “HMM a glass or two of red would be perfect now”. BUT i didn’t. I had an AF beer instead. And the fleeting moment passed. The reasons i’m taking a break – 30 days for a start – day by day – are various:. 8211; don’t want to be scared of getting sick – like REALLY sick. Dry skin and hair. Sleep &...

Monthly Archives: September 2016. Been there, done that. September 28, 2016. I’ve been alcohol free before apart from my two pregnancies. For just over 11 months. That was quite a while back. 2005 (or was it 2006, or 2007)? He would probably have coped like people do when something like that happens. I don’t know how people cope with situations like that – BUT, would he have done it the way that we (I) envisioned their upbringing to be? Very probably NOT. Would he have coped? I don’t know. September 14, 2016. Well, some of you who follow me will know that i downloaded the Jason Vale book. It was awesome – but i’m still where i was -what gives moron…? I was also a bit upset when he said not to read it again. Or did i miss something? I ordered The Naked Mind which arrived today. 🤓😎. So its back to the drawing board – I’m getting closer…. I’ve been following the http:/ medicinalsupplementsummit.com/schedule/. Hugs to the sobersphere…. Thinking – still, sort of. Been there, done that →.
Day 10 – Hungover | elements of peace
https://elementsofpeace.wordpress.com/2016/06/29/day-10-hungover
Day 10 – Hungover. June 29, 2016. No, i didn’t drink…. I just woke up feeling that i had drunk at least two bottles of wine or prosecco last night. I had a headache – was probably dehydrated – and extremely tired, even after having gone to bed at 22.15 last night. Hovered around until the kids went to school (7.30), then lay down on the sofa and slept again until shortly after nine, after which i felt much better. I work 4 days a week and today is my day “off”. I decided that 2016 is my year. Take ca...

Monthly Archives: August 2016. So i was thinking. August 16, 2016. How profound, what…. So I was thinking…. Should i get back on the wagon this week or wait until school starts again. I got totally absorbed into the blogging world again yesterday and today (while at work as very little is happening there due to the holidays) and discovered a whole lot of new ones. 😬 (Sober ones and ones that want to be, that is). And then i was thinking, actually, why wait until next week, why not start now? Proscht und...

June 27, 2016. Everything has been going according to plan. The plan being no alcohol for the next 30 days. I don’t even want to think about after that, just one day at a time. No booze this last week. Must admit though, did have a couple of AF beers. I guess it’s better than having a bottle or one and half of Prosecco a night. Apart from maybe tomato juice.). One slight bit of motivation is that after a week I don’t look 6 months pregnant, maybe only 5.5. Anyone heard of AVRT? I’ve been reading quite a ...
