My Peace Corps Adventure. Nothing here is the opinion of the Peace Corps or the US Government. Thursday, February 8, 2007. I officially ended my service today. I feel sorrow and joy at the same time. Peace Corps had been a dream for such a long time, it is difficult to end it early, but my life is now with Jason and I could not be happier about that. Today, I found out that not only had I been fully accepted into the Peace Corps (after a year application process), I also found out that I had been invited to serve within the Community Micro-Enterprise Development program in the Kingdom of Tonga beginning on July 7th! Tonga is a tiny grouping of islands in the South Pacific.it is not in Africa as many people believe.

My Peace Corps Adventure. Nothing here is the opinion of the Peace Corps or the US Government. Wednesday, November 15, 2006. Finally, a lovely home! Place for me to live! All of the drama was worth it to be in this truly lovely place. It takes me about 30 minutes to walk to work in the morning and about 20 minutes to walk into town, but walking is good and I definitely don't mind! This is a brand new duplex-style bungalow on the compound of a Tongan family, so it's a safe place too! I think it's great!

When we went to pick out all of her required attire, this is what she wanted. ALL BLACK. I was hoping for a pink skirt, or pink tights, or pink leotard. But nope. What color tights do you want Faith, white, black or pink? What color leotard do you want Faith, pink, white or black? Etc etc. etc. So here she is - looking as beautiful and ballet-ish as ever. She works it :).
