New Year, New Bike. I haven’t written in a very, very long time… Long story short, I was dumb and my Scott Speedster got stolen back in January in Union Square. Oddly enough, I went to Paragon to buy new running sneakers (Adidas Adios2) and I chained the bike in front of Paragon. It hurt. A lot. I felt so vulnerable, upset, angry; the usual psychological thinking process but fortunately I was able to give up and let it be. What could I have done? Time: 2hrs 14min 8secs. Riding to the Bronx for some Football. Ah, it’s football season. That’s all I know. Well, I know some of the teams names but that’s as far as it goes. Ooh and I do know about Tebow through Reddit but that’s about it. My cousin has been encouraging me to go and play and so I did… but of course, I went biking. Eventually when I arrived, my cousins were already passing and warming up and waiting for others to arrive as well. My younger cousins were questioning me, wow Edwin, you biked here? 8 January, 2012.

Flushing Bay Promenade: hawk encounter. Do you see that? It’s a freaking hawk. I must first admit that I saw this beautiful hawk while. I’m quite surprised it decided to eat the animal there. It was 7-10 feet away from the main road and about 10 feet away from Grand Central Parkway. Although there were a few people on the road today, who missed this experience, cars zoom by very loudly. Today was my first big ride since the NYC Century and my swollen ankle. I decided to go easy, of course, and did a steady and medium-paced ride to Sandy’s sister’s apartment where I would meet her. She’s taking care of her sister’s dog, Bourne, and we decided to take him for a walk in Central Park. I believe we were next to Sheep Meadows on the West side.
